Meet Our Board of Directors

Matt brings over 30 years of experience as a non-profit executive and board member, helping institutions meet the challenges of organizational capacity and sustainability. His areas of expertise include fundraising, board development, marketing, and short and long-range planning. He has served as an adjunct professor teaching courses in nonprofit management at Carnegie Mellon University and Duquesne University. He was Senior Consultant with First Side Partners prior to establishing his own independent firm. Matt served as Director of Administration for the Pittsburgh Opera from 1992-1997. Before coming to Pittsburgh in 1992, Matt was the Executive Director of Young Audiences of Eastern PA for 12 years producing arts in education programs. This followed an exciting earlier career as an operatic and concert baritone. Matt continues to be active both as a board member and volunteer. He recently retired as Managing Director of the Bach Choir of Pittsburgh and is a member of several committees with Pittsburgh nonprofit organizations.

Penny Brill is a recently retired Pittsburgh Symphony violist Penny Brill is the founder of MUSACOR, Musicians as a Community Resource, and was a co-founder of the Pittsburgh Symphony’s Music and Wellness program. For more than twenty five years she has worked in collaboration with music therapists in a variety of settings. She has become well known for her innovative work with the use of music in health care. In addition to her work with the NOAH (National Organization of Arts in Health) Code of Ethics Committee, she is part of a newly created NOAH Credentialing Task Force that will develop curriculum for professionalization of artists in healthcare. Awards include 1985 Pittsburgh YWCA Tribute to Women Award, in part for her work on redesigning the hiring process at the PSO. 2016 The inaugural LOA (League of American Orchestra) Ford Musician Award for Excellence in Community Service. 2021 Global Leaders Institute Sector Innovation Award.

Reverend Neal effectively managed a political campaign consisting of 20 plus volunteers. Generated training materials to aid employees and volunteers in achieving both personal and organizational goals. Produced, oversaw & managed the budgets of three (3) non-profit organizations. Designed and published websites for two non-profit organizations. Experienced executive with a demonstrated history of working in non-profit organization management, particularly in development, marketing, volunteer recruitment and cultivation, social media, research, and business development. With a B.A in Mass Communication and a Masters of Divinity, my education in addition to my work history uniquely positions me professionally to serve in virtually any capacity as it relates to public service, non-profit and for-profit endeavors.

Dave worked 34 years as an Apple Computer consultant serving homes, schools and businesses. Dave formed the (NPMUG) North Pittsburgh Macintosh Users Group in 1996. That organization spawned a volunteer-based recycling effort working to rescue school district surplus retired computers. In 2001 Dave gathered a devoted group of 11 Apple friends from the user group community to begin systematic weekend repairs of discarded school computers in his garage with the goal of computer distribution to homeless shelters and food banks across Western Pennsylvania. Computer Reach was born. Dave expanded Computer Reach beyond Pittsburgh, now reaching 47 states and 42 nations around the world with computers, coupled with digital literacy programs, to bridge the digital divide. Dave is one of the founding members of Greater Pittsburgh Digital Inclusion Alliance (GPDIA). Dave also serves on the City of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County (PDEC) Pittsburgh Digital Equity Coalition to advocate for affordable broadband internet, devices, support and programs for all. Dave is also a member of the national advocacy organizations AFTRR (Alliance for Technology Refurbishing and Reuse) and NDIA (National Digital Inclusion Alliance). Dave has a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Dave has been married over 40 years, is the father of 3 daughters and has 6 grandchildren. He loves classic rock and long walks.

Kate Maloney Williams is a subject matter expert in digital literacy, educational technology, and distance learning. Her professional experiences have been dedicated to supporting evidence-based policy-making, implementation, and sustainable ICT interventions in international development. She is an APMP certified Practitioner and has managed the full life cycle for federal, state, and foundation awards. She has additional experience in research operations, technical assistance, mixed methods evaluation, digital marketing, and strategy development for the nonprofit sector. Kate is currently a PhD Candidate in International Education Policy at the University of Maryland. She is a regular contributor and reviewer to international conferences, work groups, and peer-reviewed journals. Although she now resides in the D.C. Metro region, she is an eighth-generation Pittsburgh native with many immediate family calling Western Pennsylvania home.

Lamont is the Clinical Outreach Manager for Western Pennsylvania at Charlie Health. He brings years of experience in non-profit program development and management. Lamont is an active advocate for diversity and equity in tech, science, and mental healthcare.

Chintan is Deputy General Counsel at CRH Americas where he handles environmental and sustainability law. Chintan is active in a variety of community activities, including as a youth soccer coach and past president of a foundation serving the South Asian diaspora. He has been interested in computers and technology since before he got his first computer, an Apple //c, in 1985. Computer Reach allows him to stay connected with his interest in technology and combine it with his desire to help his community.

Brian has over 15 years of experience working in IT management and leadership. In his current role he leads strategic initiatives focused on process improvements, business transformation, organizational efficiency, project management, and digital accessibility. As a first-generation college student, he has served in roles ranging from chief information officer to instructor focusing on digital literacy; he reflects a mission-driven career across higher education and nonprofit organizations. Brian holds a Master of Science in Organizational Performance from Drake University and a Master of Education in Instructional Technology from Kent State University. He is originally from western Pennsylvania, and now resides in Gibsonia, PA.

Laurie Capozza, a seasoned CIO with over 15 years of experience in driving IT strategy across nonprofit, higher education, and professional services, proudly serves as a Board Member at Computer Reach. With a genuine commitment to Pittsburgh and local nonprofits, Laurie leverages her expertise in risk management, governance, and programming to support the organization's mission, making a positive impact at the intersection of technology and community.

Fred is the Strategic Partnerships Manager for Western Pennsylvania at Western Governors University. He brings years of experience in both for-profit and non-profit business development and management. Prior to relocating to Pittsburgh, Fred spent most of his career in the Pacific Northwest working in the architecture and construction industry. Fred is passionate about leveling the equity playing field, breaking barriers to access and connecting people to resources. Currently, Fred lives in Moon Township with his long-time partner and her son. Fred enjoys long hikes, dad jokes and visiting Pittsburgh events and attractions.

Patrick is a results-driven technology service executive with extensive experience in the information technology field with a proven track record of strategic program and project management in the areas of IT asset management, IT operations, and application development. Possesses a strong customer focus and a background of success in leading cross-functional, global and high-performing teams. Delivers rapid return on investment while focusing on a reduction of operating expenses through the intelligent and effective management of hardware and software assets. Patrick also serves in multiple capacities at the Laurel Highlands Council, Boy Scouts of America including all of the women in Scouting who make our movement stronger today than it has ever been with 16 million girls and women in Scouting.
