Computer Reach in Ghana

Ghana, October 2012 – In October, four Computer Reach volunteers traveled to Ghana, West Africa to deliver and install 100 computers. We were hosted by Daniel Kwaku Ganyoame, the Executive Director of Africa ICT Right. Daniel’s mission is to promote technology in schools and computer education for all students. As we traveled throughout the city and visited schools and churches we quickly discovered that teachers not only lacked computers, but they lacked training. We quickly regrouped and developed lesson plans in support of the curriculum guidelines and hosted teacher training to educate the recipients of the computers.
