National Meeting of AFTRR in Pittsburgh June 3-4 2018

2018 AFTRR National Meeting in Pittsburgh, PA A success ! The Alliance for Technology Refurbishing and Reuse (AFTRR) met for its second National Meeting  hosted by Google Pittsburgh.  The two-day meeting was held Sunday evening, June 3rd and all day Monday, June 4th.  Using the same format as last year 2017 meeting, we minimized attendee expenses related to the event.  All AFTRR members are non-profits and some are very small and comprised of volunteers.  Budgets simply do not allow for expensive travel and meetings. Computers To The Congo

In collaboration with Princess Modupe Ozolua of Nigeria and Empower54, Computer Reach shipped 80 computers to the Democratic Republic of the Congo last week. The computers will allow Empower54 to establish a computer lab in the Mai-Ndombe province. Empower 54 Project Inc is a nonprofit providing humanitarian assistance through health, Hunger Eradication/Rural Development, educational, empowerment, and IDP/refugee programs to the underprivileged.
