We distribute free desktop computer bundles to people in the Greater Pittsburgh Area every week. Don’t miss your chance to receive one!
The “Computer Giveaways" Program (formerly called the “Computer Lottery" Program) awards free computer bundles to local Western PA area residents who struggle to afford a computer. We produce reliable refurbished desktop computers via donations from local schools and businesses and distribute them free of cost to people that do not own computers.
Here are some important things to know:
1. You will start with a phone call to our team at 412-690-0035. Digital Navigators will set a plan for your award pickup site and date using the text and email addresses you provide during your intake conversation.
2. We schedule awards weekly based on the available computer inventory. If you do not reside in our local Western PA service area, we will not be able to help you.
3. You will need to pick up your computer bundle at an assigned location near you. We typically do not ship or deliver computers to your home. If you wish to pay for our home delivery and setup service it is $99/hr and reserved for those families with challenges of transportation, work hours during the Tuesday-Friday 10am-3:45pm pickup times at our warehouse, or have a need for tech support to set up the computer bundle. Please state your need for paid Digital Navigator delivery/setup services when you leave a voicemail message on our 412-690-0035 line. We will discuss your options during your intake interview.
4. The computers are in a bundled box with all supplies and Quickstart instructions with contact information for the 2 year warranty and phone support.
5. The computers are NOT laptops, they are refurbished desktop computers running Kubuntu Linux 2604 LTS (not Windows or Mac). The computers have 18 featured free-of-cost Universal apps/links on the desktop screen.
6. Computer bundle boxes include the computer, a flat panel monitor, keyboard, mouse, mousepad, and a reusable carry bag. (see photo below).
