Students Invited to Play Coding Games with Carnegie Mellon Robotics Academy

Students aged 8 – 13 are invited to join Carnegie Mellon Robotics Academy on May 8 for a free virtual opportunity to try these coding games: Super Slime Battle and Acceleration City!

About

During Carnegie Mellon Robotics Academy’s CoBot Coding Games event, students will play alongside a collaborative robot (aka “cobot”) that they can code to suit their personal playstyle and accomplish the goals of the game. Games included in this event are educational and research-based. During the session, hosts will introduce two coding games they’ve produced:

  • Super Slime Battle – a game where students play as a teen monster who programs their cobot pets to defend their town’s candy harvest
  • Acceleration City – a game where students control a car with a cobot assistant that can generate platforms and ramps to help with races and stunts

Participating students will be introduced to the games and be able to play freely.
