40 Computer Bundles and Hotspots Distributed to Pittsburgh Residents

Computer Reach completed 2 Digital Navigator projects in July, which distributed 40 computer bundles and 40 hotspots to local Pittsburgh residents and offered 1:1 in-person setup support and digital literacy training.

What is the Digital Navigators program?

Computer Reach’s Digital Navigators program provides recipients with:

    • a free desktop computer bundle (including an external webcam),
    • a free hotspot,
    • 1:1 in-person setup support and digital literacy training,
    • and follow-up tech support over the phone or in-person as needed.

All services are provided at no cost to the recipients. To learn more, read our news post or a testimonial from one of our recipients, Melvin Lewis.

Who did the pilots serve?

Thanks to our partner Eastern Area Adult Services (EAAS), we were able to serve 20 people at Harriet Tubman Terrace and Shady Park Place. We also worked alongside United Methodist Church Union to serve 20 people who live at Metowers. A big thank you to our partners!

Moving Forward

We continue to provide ongoing tech support to each recipient and are looking to complete additional Digital Navigator projects in the near future. If you want to learn more, contact us at info@computerreach.org or leave us a voicemail at 412-444-8816.
