Is Your Neighborhood Age-Friendly?
AARP and Age-Friendly Greater Pittsburgh are conducting a short, online survey to collect information from Allegheny County residents who are 45 years old or older. The survey will take approximately 15 minutes to complete and will provide opportunities for community members to share their opinions on what they need as they grow older and ways to make the region a better place to live.
Results will help communities plan for the future and understand what improvements can be made now to meet the needs of older adults. One lucky survey respondent will win a free iPad. Other prizes will be available as well.
Types of Questions Asked
All questions will be optional and all responses will be kept confidential. Survey questions will include, but are not limited to, the following topics:
- confirming your age and zip code,
- the accessibility of your neighborhood,
- your usual method(s) of transportation,
- available activities or job opportunities in the area,
- access to computers and the internet, and
- concerns about the coronavirus (COVID-19).
