CS Explorers Seeks STEM Professionals for Summer Programming

Are you a STEM professional who is interested in sharing your tech experiences with local middle school students? Consider volunteering for Fortyx80’s CS Explorers program.

CS Explorers Program

In partnership with STEM Coding Lab and the City of Pittsburgh’s Rec2Tech Initiative, Fortyx80 is offering a summer program called CS Explorers to provide middle school students (Grades 5-8) with free opportunities to learn about careers in computer science. During the program, students:

  • engage in hands-on activities (focused on 6 computer science themes),
  • take weekly field trips to some of the Pittsburgh region’s most innovative companies,
  • and meet and interact with industry professionals weekly.

Volunteer

If you are a professional who is working in STEM, consider volunteering to help enrich student awareness of the importance of STEM careers and leave them with the confidence to pursue an innovative career in our communities. To sign up and learn more, email Marie Pelloni at mpelloni@pghtech.org.
