Computer Reach is looking to hire Digital Navigators to provide in-person computer and Wi-Fi hotspot installation and training in the homes of our Digital Navigator program participants.

What is a Digital Navigator?

As a Digital Navigator Contractor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality services to individuals in our Digital Navigator program. Following the Digital Navigator Service Model, you will provide in-person computer and Wi-Fi hotspot installation and training in the homes of our program participants. This position works under the direction of Computer Reach’s Digital Navigator Manager.

Core Technical Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft and Google apps
  • Basic knowledge of operating systems of Linux, macOS, Windows, Apple iOS, and Google Android
  • Basic knowledge of home Wi-Fi connectivity with routers and Wi-Fi hotspots
  • Basic knowledge of printer, scanner, fax, webcam peripheral connectivity
  • Proficient with passwords and privacy management
  • Excellent public speaking and teaching skills
  • Education or experience in psychology, teaching, tutoring, or social work is strongly desired

  • Ability to demonstrate positive attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, and cultural sensitivity in working with diverse customers, coworkers, and community
  • Ability to creatively solve problems and negotiate and handle stressful situations in a positive manner
  • Ability to embrace the challenge of learning and teaching ​basic technological concepts related to internet services, computer and device characteristics, and common online services and applications
  • Excellent self-organization, language capacity, and cultural competency
  • Excellent telephone and online communication skills, including the ability to establish trust with clients of varied educational and cultural backgrounds
  • Ability to creatively solve problems and negotiate and handle stressful situations in a positive manner
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service, establish appropriate boundaries with clients, and ​to demonstrate innovation and flexibility
  • Ability to handle inventory up to 30lbs
  • Ability to walk steps
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Able to travel independently as necessary to service program deliverables
