Welcome Back Crestfield Camp Volunteers!
Yesterday we welcomed back, for the third time this summer, volunteers from Crestfield Camp in Slippery Rock, PA. Liz Carras and her Crestfield Camp and Conference Center summer campers came for a Monday afternoon session of cleaning laptop power cords and outer cases. Grimy work indeed, that required many bottles of Simple Green and Goo Gone, plus loads of paper towels! These efforts are very helpful toward the cause of recycling computers and giving them back in clean and working order to communities in need.
These 20 campers and staff came from all over: Pittsburgh, Pitcairn, Monroeville, Regent Square, Bowie, Maryland, Laurel, Maryland, Washington D.C. and Essex County New Jersey. They all worked in the humid heat of the warehouse today and were able to prepare over 100 power supplies and 50 laptops for use in the field.
Many thanks and WELCOME BACK for the 3rd time this summer!
