Computer Reach Moves Its Warehouse to Wilkinsburg

In February 2020, Computer Reach started packing its bags to begin its journey to a new Warehouse location in the Wilkinsburg community of Pittsburgh. Thanks to a wonderful group of volunteers, Computer Reach was able to fully complete the move by February 29, with doors officially opening at the new location on March 1, 2020. Our organization is thankful for the 10 years we spent at our previous Warehouse in Construction Junction, sharing the space with great neighbors including the Pittsburgh Center for Creative Reuse, the Trade Institute of Pittsburgh, and others.

Additionally, Computer Reach is thankful to the Wilkinsburg Community Development Corporation (WCDC) for all of the guidance they provided on navigating the approvals, permitting, and other requirements associated with a relocation. We are especially thankful to WCDC Executive Director Tracey Evans who provided valuable information to us on who to talk to, what to ask, and the order in which we should do so. As stated by Computer Reach Executive Director Dave Sevick, “her help was worth more than all of the money in the world.” To learn more about the WCDC, visit their website!

Our new location in Wilkinsburg offers countless new possibilities, with our spacious Warehouse now featuring a designated sales floor, office spaces, Bench Room, parking lot, and garage. If you’re interested in learning more about Computer Reach, browsing our available computers, or viewing our new location, pay us a visit at 1 DRV Drive, Wilkinsburg, PA 15208.

COVID-19: Update on Visitation

Due to the stay-at-home order in Pennsylvania, Computer Reach does not recommend visiting our Warehouse location at this time. While we hope to open our doors to the community in the near future, we are postponing doing so out of an abundance of caution. However, our staff are very excited to talk with community members, answer your questions, and give tours of our new Warehouse location.

Computer Reach will continue to adhere to social distancing recommendations provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Pennsylvania Department of Health. By doing so, we accept our social responsibility to keep our staff, volunteers, and the communities we serve healthy and safe. Please follow us on Facebook and Twitter for additional updates.
